The International Academy of Muay Boran (IMBA) is the first international school dedicated to the development of disciplined, traditional Thai martial art of unarmed combat.
IMBA has been created thanks to the dedication of one of the world champions in Muay Thai, the Master Marco De Cesaris in close collaboration with the Thai great teacher and his mentor Chinawooth Sirisompan, the office of the Culture Committee of Thailand, together with the valuable support of the International Amateur Muay Thai Federation of the IAMTF.
The mission of the International Academy of Muay Boran (IMBA), is to form a global network of specialized and highly trained in Muay Thai coaches in Europe and other continents.
Apart from the first schools in Italy and Spain, has opened branches in many countries. Full members-countries currently are Italy, Spain, Holland, Germany, England, Romania, Belgium, France, Poland, Greece, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, Malta, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Portugal and Mexico (and in the immediate future as Argentina, Colombia, Zambia, South Africa and India).
The IMBA affiliates are welcome to take part in technical seminars are held at regular intervals. Some courses are more intensive and expertise and for the deeper perception and understanding of ancient technologies (such as Mae Mai and Look Mai) to implement them, focusing with particular interest in basic aspects and self-defense.
